Symia Hayes

Symia Hayes is a graduate from University of Hartford, she majored in visual communication design while also minoring in marketing. Acquiring a background in both fields was important to Symia because it allowed her to see advertisements from both a creative and business perspective. Since attending the University has helped Symia has been able to combine both her passions while working to perfect her craft.

You Good - African American Mental Health Awareness

For generations the Black community have struggled with the stigmas surrounding mental health. The Black community have neglected mental health in fear of being labeled weak or crazy. The You Good Awareness Project is designed to encourage African American people to become comfortable with seeking help regardless if you have a mental health disorder or not. Also, You Good’s mission is to start developing a conversation about mental health as well as properly educating African American people on the subject.
