The connection of photography and design is what drives the powerful imagery and design of current work Titled As You Were As You Are, an exhibition on women’s body empowerment. Unveiled Presents As You Were As You Are

Personal struggles with my body and self-confidence has motivated me to portray the strong and inspiring women who I surround myself with. I have collaborated with them to combine their own stories with my portraits. These women have overcome great difficulties, and I wanted their strength and power to be evident in both the photographs and in their handwritten words. Each of the women in these photos have different stories to tell and hope to give others. For example, after losing her partner, a woman tries to find herself and regain her strength; another struggles after countless surgeries from cancer; a “big girl” who has struggled with her weight since childhood, now knows that she can't be defined by how much she weighs; another who is more than the size of her breast. I intend for this series to inspire and empower other women to embrace who they are.
